Bileeta’s role in supporting Nepal’s healthcare system
Health programs rely on efficient supply chains to ensure patients receive the necessary medicinal equipment in adequate quantities and good quality. Recognizing the critical need for an efficient logistics system, Nepal transitioned from a paper-based system to our electronic logistics management information system (eLMIS), “Entution Vesta,” to improve health outcomes and meet patient demand.
Since 2017, we have been proud to support Nepal in distributing medications nationwide using our “Entution Vesta” platform. This system has been instrumental in ensuring that health facilities across the country have access to the medications they need, when they need them. By providing real-time data and analytics, “Entution Vesta” has enabled healthcare providers to manage their inventories more effectively, reducing waste and ensuring that patients receive timely care.
Tackling the COVID-19 Pandemic
With the pandemic, the challenges facing Nepal’s healthcare system intensified. In response, we enhanced the “Entution Vesta” system for Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population to manage the distribution of essential supplies such as rubber gloves, face masks, face shields, and protective eyewear. This upgrade was necessary to ensure that even the most remote areas of Nepal received the necessary supplies to combat the pandemic. Our system’s ability to provide detailed insights into stock levels, expiration dates, lead times, and potential stockouts allowed healthcare facilities to operate without facing shortages of critical medical supplies.
