Customer Support Agent

We are looking for a dynamic Customer Support Agent to join our team! If you excel in communication, enjoy helping people, and have a knack for resolving issues, this is the perfect role for you.

Job Scope

As a Customer Support Agent, you will be required to provide efficient and professional customer support services to our clients. You will be the first point of contact for our clients seeking help and guidance, and will play a vital role in maintaining positive customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Analyze the nature of inquiries and redirect it to the relevant Support Engineer for timely resolution.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior support staff or relevant departments.
  • Create and manage support tickets efficiently and accurately using the designated system.
  • Keep customers informed about the status of their inquiries and provide regular updates until issues are resolved
  • Gather feedback from customers on their experience and to ensure that their issues were fully resolved satisfactorily.

Requirements for an Ideal Candidate:

  • Proficiency in English and Sinhala is required. Tamil language skills are an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in a call center set up (1–2 years) preferably in the banking sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Minimum G.C.E. Advanced Level with a minimum of a Merit Pass for English.
  • Willingness to be available to attend to urgent client enquiries (remotely) even on weekends/holidays if required.
  • Friendly and professional attitude and personality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage customer complaints effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple inquiries simultaneously
  • School leavers with the right competencies and soft skills may also apply
